Shipping your Art Back Home
Each gallery has experience and knowledge on how to best handle, pack and ship the works of art by their artists. The galleries will advise and assist you on the best way to get your new work of art to your home away from Los Cabos, and will in most cases arrange for the works to be packed, shipped and insured using and passing on the special rates that shipping companies offer the galleries within the Association.
Importation Tax to the US and Canada
If purchasing original artwork made in the United States , Mexico or Canada, the artwork is exempt from Canadian and US duties under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
Duties exemptions do not apply to mass produced reproduction or works, including any mechanical or photomechanical process, of conventional craftsmanship of commercial character, even if these articles are designed or created by artists. Even when there is no importation tax for art into the US and Canada, some Customs handling fees may apply.
